Avon Otakaro Network: Marshalls

‘Meet in the Middle’ celebration of the Te Ara Otakaro Avon Trail, designed for recreation on foot or by bike, and running from Barbardoes Street Bridge to Pages Road Bridge beside the Otakaro Avon River.  You will be assisting with marking the trail – certified traffic management staff will be dealing with the critical elements; your marshalling will be more on the lines of offering a friendly welcome and keeping the pathways clear for those participating in this awesome celebration – which will include stalls, activities run by Sport Canterbury, a riverside stage with live music and an inter-code regatta on the river at Kerrs Reach!  10.30am to 3pm.

Royal NZ Plunket: Bike Expo – Cycle Safe Assistants

The Bike Expo 2017 will be held at Wigram Air Force Museum, 9.30am to 400.pm on 28 and 29 October.  Helpers needed to run children (under 11 years of age) through a bike safe education programme, eg with helmets, basic bike checks – brakes, putting on hi-vis vests …

Requirement will probably only be for the Saturday – you will take part in a (free) workshop with the CCC Bike Safe volunteers before hand.
